Default Air and Ground Commander Division.

What I wan't to see be it in the next BF2 patch or 2142 is commander division. In RL nations have this division and it would also allow for more people to get commander points at a time.

A ground commander and an air commander. The ground commander stays the same but none of his orders are seen by airial squads and the same for the airial commander and ground units.

One problem is there would be 4 commanders per map instead of 2 therefore which ever commander scored the highest should get points doubled or a point share here.

Say the ground commander can drop cars but the air commander can not while the air commander can give orders to bomb a postition instead of move mine or attack. He can also spot people on a three dimensional scale, say the shade of red determines their altitude.

One more thing, the air commander CAN fly, his set up isnt something where he hides like a pussy all round hopeing not to get knifed but an actual in air commander that while he flys is able to see all other aircraft and land units if they are in vehicles.

The reason I want an airial commander is because it is difficult ingame for an inexperianced commander to really get across what he wants to say to just air troops without haveing an official airial squad system. The airial commander himself would get some sort of extra vehicle be it a transport helicopter or a jet but what ever it is he will have full commuinication with all airial units and they will be immediately placed in a sub squad system reguardless of current colo. The sub squad airial color will be cyan rather than blue red or green.

Both commanders would be able to comunicate with eachother with a cyan chat appearing and their sound would dominate over communication with squads from ground commander and sub squads with air commander.

As air commander if he sees anything while flying it will be spotted, just like in 2142 and like in armored Fury with the little bird what ever he has is a mobile UAV but bigger than a normal one.

Duno how well it will work with BF2 currently, I came up with it in 5 minutes while I was typing this but the general idea is to add an air commander on the maps that have more than one airial vehicle. Sharqi and several 16 player maps will need close communication with the ground commander with a single chopper so an air commander wont be necessary then.

Also turn up the F35s power and don't turn down anything elses power. I realize the F35 can be flown with mad skillz and have done so myself but most people can't and I hate owning noobs in F35s so please make them have bad hitboxes and be just as good as any other jets while still easy for the average noob to fly.

I would say to be accepted as airial commander you must have not the highest rank but the highest rank in an airial vehicle. Say if some dude applys for air commander thats ranked 1678th in a jet but because I am ranked 245th in a chopper I should get the position.

actually... that could be a good idea. i really like the idea of the Altitude readouts. but instead of just a color change, it can give direct Altitude and Speed readout for friendy aircraft to see and use to their advantage.

but the air command should be able to communicate with Anti-Air as well. since AA has a direct effect on air units.

and about the F35... they need to make Air-Air missles how they were in the beggining of the game, where the missles were shit and didnt turn at all. thats when you had to be a good pilot to be good... now any noob can kill.

and the individua area rank is a good idea... screw the "i have more global points so i get it" shit. im a 1st LT ranked 242nd in jets so i should get the position over the 2 star thats 789th ranked...

I like the ideas, but I think it would be hard to implement, most of the commanders I end up playing under do jack crap, and if you made two of them, that would mean two idiot players thinking they knew what they were doing. Of course maybe pilots are a different breed, most skilled pilots do seem to know more of what they are doing than the majority of the infantrymen.

An easier, more proximal solution at this stage in the game would be to give the commander a separate air comm channel that would only talk to pilots. I can't count how many times I have told pilots to bomb tanks or hit choppers that were decimating our infantry and the pilots just keep flying in circles. They always seem like they were looking for targets on their own, and needed a little verbal motivation.

I liked the idea of the commander ranking, I always thought that a ground commander should have a focus and high rank in ground combat; and if we were to have a air commander, he/she should be ranked high in air combat.

I like the idea where the commander orders people on aircrafts and stuff to bomb places, would make the game cooler and more realistic.
