Default Ragdoll System? Death animations?

One thing I would want is a better death when hit by Grenades, Tank Rockets, Artillery, Missle Launchers etc.

When hit by such weapons, the death animation keeps the body in one piece and flies somewhat miles into the air.

It would be better I think if when hit by weapons of such power, bodies either split into gibs, or didn't fly out of view to land somewhere further away on the map.

Raining bodies!

Hmm, true.

But even Counter Strike: Source had more blood than this.

What happened to splatters?

(BF2 may have this feature, but it could be turned as I am playing in quite low graphics, time I got my PC updated )

They wont... UNLESS, we kill the enemies BY having poorly animated secretly coded sex. Think of it as a phallus minigun.

I'm sure ESRB would let BF2 get away with it, but it wouldn't keep its "T" rating.

Heheh, I know it isn't. But I'd still prefer bodies to be made out of a better material than rubber.

Sounds like a good idea to me.....that is until a medic comes along finds a foot, heals it and suddenly you've got herman monster chasing you.....Either that or a terminator style effect gloops all the bits back together.

There could always be a blood mod, like for 42. But I wonder if that would interfer with PB.

use your imagination....This is just eye candy and adds nothing to the game. I don't want it. Ever.

Maybe a mod will come out for you....good luck with that.

exactly. That would suck up more processor, video card and ram, and it already does a good enough job doing that by itself. Keep all that eye candy crap in mods that are years old for the laughter, not games like this.

While I'm generally not a fan of gore, it would be nice to have some kind of indication that a person is dead rather than critically wounded. "Gibbing" could be one, like in Return to Castle Wolfenstien. Or maybe if the body was on fire.

When you shoot someone with a rifle they are critically wounded. It's things like artillery and anti-tank shells which kill you. Then again, I just noticed this wouldn't work because getting run over also kills you, as does dying in a jeep as the gunner.

Default Ragdoll and gore

Let's be honest, more of these games will start heading to more realistic "deaths" and their effects. Especially since processors, and video cards are getting more and more powerful. Recently I played the demo of F.E.A.R. and the ragdoll and the effects of the bullets hitting the enemy were pretty amazing. I'm not sure how that will play out in the MP arena, and granted the MP will probably be less of a tactical play than a straight fragfest. I think though, that I'm old enough to at least see "blood" when I hit my opponents. Even CoD has that now, before it was just a white puff, but during one of the updates the white puff turned red.
I'm wondering if at some point when you get hit you will slowly lose health until a medic gets to you, that would really up the value (not that they aren't already valuable) of the medic role. Maybe you could even follow the trails of blood to your enemies. Hopefully Mrs Clinton and the (fictional Parents Game Resorce Center) PGRC won't flip out.javascript:emoticon('')
