Default Support for non-internet LAN games - with bots??? HELLO?

I cant believe this was left out.
I also cant believe it hasnt made it to this list yet....

I know of alot of people who would love to be able to setup there own home/LAN multiplayer games WITH bots.
it doesnt have to be CO-OP mode...

why are all of these games (tribes vengence anyone?) comming out without the same modes there succesful predesesors had. Tribes Vengence didnt evenm have bots.......mega cheap!
I was so dissapointed.

i dont care if the bots are crap
i dont care if i suck for playing agaisnt bots
we should at least have the option for 32 - 64 player muliplayer games over a local LAN WITH bots.

its pig headed of these publishers to think that EVERYONE has a highspeed internet connection.....
sometimes I want to play on a certain map...quickly...without having to use the clunky interface to find a low ping server with enough players to have fun.... is it too much to ask to be able to use bots for this type of game? what is the problem with unranked , local LAN multiplayer games with bots!?!?!? no real reason has been given?

anyone out there KNOW how we can get around this? I know the singleplayer 16 player mode "method" but honestly.....if thats IT then this is a badly written joke. are EA in buisness with telco compaines?
i just dont understand.
ideas?

I think your missing my point, as is usually the case in all the forums I have seen on this topic..

Many people have home LANS, many LAN partys dont have 64 people.
When I play with my friends over a local LAN it would be handy to, like in the previous version of battlefield, be able to put in 40 or so bots.
I just cant see why this ability was overlooked.

BOT games can be alot less annoying than with real people.
no arguments.
your choice of vehicles
no idiots that run you over from your own side :P

does anyone know if this option is being looked at for a future patch?
dreaming?

YEEESH,.. stop taunting him fellas, and send him on his merry way,..

Start up a SP game, you'll note you have to fire up a server, regardless.
Anyone else wants to join, they go 'Direct IP connect' and punch in the host IP.

Voila, Co-op. Literally, its "many people in an SP game", but technically, whats the difference?

Unfortunately, thats not reproduceable outside of a LAN, but i can't recall why.

And, yes, this has been covered in many posts, before yours.
Dont thank me, I responded only because Ive read too many:

"30 views and not one person will give me an answer???"

posts in this type of situation as of late.

Its not you, Its me.

If you had read my msg properly, instead of lavishing praise on yourself - like a typical big headed take-it-in-the-bum games consumer, you would have read that I have already done this :

anyone out there KNOW how we can get around this? I know the singleplayer 16 player mode "method" but honestly.....if thats IT then this is a badly written joke

I just want to know if there is work on a patch that will enable bots on the larger 32-64 player maps. the discussions up to this point seem to treat the 16 player single player fix as a "solution".
its not.
its a very simple question - it seems that if you ask anything outside of an EA press release you boys quiet the hell down. I suppose im just hoping someone from EA reads enough of these types of posts to understand they have spat in alot of players faces.

Instead of blindly accepting the poor commercial activities of a game producer and flamming anyone without a T1 connection - how about actually reading what people have to say?
forgive me for actually wanting a well produced , un-rushed bit of software for a change.

No. Want to know why?

It's because your computer can't handle it! It can't handle the...bots!

The thought had occured to me.

They could at least say that. OR at least give the option so I could see my machine melt. that would be more satisfying that a big fat nothing.

The bots are dumb. Support for them isn't on all maps because some maps like kubra dam are too complicated for the bots.

They are limited to 16 becuase any higher and they wouldnt get enough CPU time to be as clever aws they are now. They would be even worse.

Its a shame. The bots for counterstrike source are quite good in most cases and do not effect gameplay much (even with 15-30 of the buggers).

surely a dedicated server could handle the bots. Take away this ability for the maps like Kubra Dam (dont like it much anyways!)
I just hope - like with source, they will realease more support for bots from the console?

64 player servers are getting bogged down. I would hate to see 64 bots!
