Problem with patch 1.4

Hello people...well...the problem is this...I install bf2 normally..no problems...then I install patch 1.4 and seems like everything is ok...it even says instalation complete...but when I start the game, the version is still 1.1...does anyone know why doesn´t my game update???.please...help...

Did you mistakenly download the incremental patch?
Make sure the 1.4 patch is the full 1.4, not the incremental 1.4 patch.

Yes...it is the full patch...by the way...my pc specs are

Windows Xp professional, service pack 2
Intel Core 2 CPU 4400 @ 2 gb RAM
Nvidia GeForce 8400 GS
Realtek High Definition Audio
Monitor Plug and Play

Your system specs can play BF2 fine.

I'll tell you what EA Support would say.

"Uninstall your BF2, delete any leftover files and reinstall BF2.

"Then reinstall the full 1.4 patch."

"Make sure the patch was downloaded correctly, a small part of the patch can be lost during download."

That works, sometimes.

Actually, I've had the same problem at one time. The patch just would not "take."

Did you try installing it again? I suppose you did.

Well...I have already uninstalled the game...and installed again...but I am downloading the patch again from other website..let´s see what happens...
