Game used to work ok before. I mean all loadings were EXTREMELY slow, but while in the game, it was ok.
Just installed Patch 1.1. Patch installed ok Rebooted the machine Game does not work anymore. Now, when loading for entering a mission, it gets stuck at 26%, while the word "sound" is written at the bottom left Tried few times, rebooted, etc... ALWAYS at 26%, gets stuck. I am now uninstalling it and re-installing it, from scratch, but this is not a fun situation !!! Re-installed the game it works well, without the patch. Tested in single player mode. Now, going to install the patch 1.1 Done. This time. it gets stuck at 16%, and with the Windows Sound that an error occured. Error Message this time: "memory.dll: sanity check: block size 185059772 (176.49Mb) doesn't seem sane" First time I ever encounter such an error message. Tried to reboot. Same thing.... My Windows XP was installed like 1 month ago, latest NVIDIA Driver, compatible video card. 1Gb RAM Video Card Gforce FX 5900, 128 Mb RAM 2.8 Ghz Intel Lot's of space on all HD Minimum 6 Gb, on the HD with the least amount of space Latest Direct X installed from the DVD Windows XP Patches up to the latest Any idea ? |

wow, this seems really weird. you might want to download the 1.1 patch from a new source and reinstall the game and the patch again. don't use the patch u've now. check the web and see if anyone else has the same problem cause my patch went fine. good luck!

I was having a few probs with the first patch I downloaded.. then I uninstalled/reinstalled the game and downloaded straight from the EA patch link and have had nothing but grand success since.
Not sure if that's whats wrong, but just stating what I've personally found. |

Thanks for the suggestion.
I got the Patch from EA, tried, and all the same ![]() VERY FRUSTRATING. Seems that I will have to remain without using this Patch 1.01. I am pretty sure there should be others in my situation as I have such a standard PC config. Anyway, not fun !! |

Seems that this bug is Sound related since it always happen when the "sound" section of the mission, is loading
So I tried to disable ALL possible sound related options, and it is the same. at 25% now, always get the error message. Going back to re-install the game for the 5th time now..... And won't install this Patch. Hopefully, the next patch will be working. Not fun.... ![]() |

I got the 26% freeze as well after patching.
I tried the EA un-install method, and re-installed from scratch - same problem. New GFX card on the way to see if that fixes it. The game was fine before the patch was applied. ( apart from the browser! ) |

And.... New bugs with the new Patch 1.02..
So, as said, the game loads now, but the video goes absolutely nuts after just few seconds in the game.... I don't believe these patches lack of quality..... ![]() Got the latest NVIDIA drivers, etc... just the Patch is bugged again |
