Default Work Sucks!!

I Had a Really Really REALLY Bad Day...

It all started 2 nights... an hour after i left work i get a call from my boss saying the freezer broke and that in the morning there is probably going to be a lot of work to do...(oh yeah i work at a supermarket) i get there next morning and all the frozen food is thawed out and no good anymore... so we have to cut all the barcodes off of the boxes and put them into a bag and then we had to throw out all the food... we ended up losing like $8,000.

Yeah it sucked

Then today... the truck comes that has all the new freezer stuff. MAN STOCKING FROZEN FOOD SUCKS... MY HANDS WENT NUMB! then i had to pull isle's the rest of the day... and this was all within 6 hours

The End... of my bitching... had to let it out sometime

retail grocery = shit!
i worked/managed grocery stores all thru school.
nothing quite like mopping up puke or feces, then getting to check out some pissed off old lady who wants you to "smell this bad meat i bought yesterday...no, just smell it, this is ridiculous"
or reading directions to an illitereate farm family on how to perm their daughter's hair while cashing an exotic dancer's paycheck at the same time.

it's a strange retail world man...don't even get me started on shop lifters!!!

To me, there is no greater hell then working in retail on the day after Thanksgiving. I always call it D Day because it's an invasion of people.

MY BAD WORK DAY!

working landscaping, digging a 8 foot deep trench that is 3 feet wide.
heres the catch. it is 117 degrees out and the ground is clay.
also a boss that is yelling at you from under an umbrella drinking
a iced tea.

Was it that hot up there recently? Here in NYC it's almost May and it's only 50 f-ing degrees (farenheit). The trees don't have any leaves on them. It sucks
