Default Best Video Capture Card? Help Please!

Could anyone or ALL of you give me some insight on a very nice video capture card?

I have a Hauppauge now, but I am having a 'dog' of a time transfering my home movies (via VCR) to DVD.

All I want to do is take my home movies, and put them on DVD.

Thanks if you can help.

what type? you using firewire to get it into your computer?
what editing/capture app are you using?

i picked up a 3 input SIIG card(N411000X i believe) for $40 at CompUSA.
it's Avid approved and it works well with my Avid Xpress DV.
Avid's FREE DV editor is coming out within weeks.

It's not DV. I just want to capture MPEG2 then burn it on a DVD. I have all nice software, like ULEAD DVD Workshop, TMPEG 2.5, etc...

Right now, with what I have, I have to capture AVI, then convert it, then burn it. I just want a BETTER one, that captures MPEG right away if that's possible.

the only one i've used was the ATi All-In-Wonder for mpeg2.
the file sizes are MASSIVE, and playback/editing with mpeg2 is a bitch.
i wish ya luck man...lemme know what works well for ya.
