Where the hell comes the word jackass?!

This => question has been irritating me for long time.

1. Who the *beep* made the word up?
2. Who the *beep* advertised the word?
3. Why the *beep* its in modern language?

Has someone called Jack have a big ass, and be also stupid? Then he was started to be called as jackass.. (and you know the end - its a usual word in modern language.

)

THIS WORD CAME FROM MEDIEVAL TIMES
THERE WAS ONCE A KING WHOSE NAME WAS JACK AND HE HAD A WEIRD ASS WHICH TALKED TO HIM EVERY NIGHT SO LOUD THAT EVERYBODY HEARD HIM.AND AFTER THAT THEY WERE CALLING HIM JACK AND ASS BUT NOW IN MODERN LANGUAGE IT IS CALLED JACKASS.

Donkies are called Asses, and a male donkey is called a jackass. Just like female dogs are called bitches. The animal term came first, then it was used as a metaphore to describe someone. And is now an insult.
