Came upon this . It's a brightcove.tv video of a now broken down cliff side canyon trail.
"Originally built in 1901, this walkway now serves as an approach to makinodromo, the famous climbing sector of El Chorro." Most definately not open to the public, me thinks. The footing is trecherous, parts of it looks like it could be a scene from a pc game like Myst... or something newer. The music fits this flash video nicely. A lot of browsers won't play this link, but MS Explorer will. Worth firing up Explorer for. If the video stalls at "loading"... click the link and copy and paste into MS Explorer. Fuck IE, plays fine in Firefox, its just a flash player like youtube and all the others.
Anyways, WOW. Amazing video. Fuckin crazy to think someone actually built that walkway up there in those mountains, and how that camera man was so easily able to walk across those parts with no concrete and only railing. Phew. Makes you feel like you're there. |

The floor railings would mean certain death with my clumsy footing. Nice video though, kinda makes you wish you were there.

Notice the others were clipping onto the metal safety cable. This camera guy didn't.
Made for a more real experience to the viewer. Dangerous. Last edited by Caslon : 05-04-2008 at 01:56 PM. |
