It would be better to buy it in the store so you have everything in your name and you can pick the contract.

Probably cheaper just to wait til they release the PAYG one. It'll be way more than the contract one, but less than the fleaBay basts are charging.

Just wait a month or two and prices will probably come down to normal levels, like they did before with the first generation.

I thought "unlocking" the iphone voided the phone? Did Apple finally realize their products true financial potential, or did creative people just figure out how to hide the iphone hack better?

I just paid the $10 to update my iPods software to 2.0. The App Store is sweet. There's a lot of good free apps, and some hilarious ones. I highly recommend the iPint one. After using the iTouch's accelerometer to guide a pint over a bar, you then get a free pint. Also there's more practical ones like AOL Instant Messenger and things like that.

Is AIM as buggy as everyone says? I like meebo for chat stuff, I think their page is iPhone/Pod compatible too.

I love using meebo when away from my personal laptop.

I'll be trying to pick one up from the O2 store tomorrow. Unfortunately I can't get there til about half 5, and they won't put one aside for you. Grrr.

Yeah, I'm hoping to buy one too tomorrow. However I'm going to go over every single detail regarding the contract, particularly the "Unlimited WiFi and Roaming" part of the contract before I commit to anything.

BTW, anyone want to buy my iPod touch (with £20 case and 2.0 software) for £150 to help fund this?

Got mine on Sat and gotta say.. it's one kick ass device. Few bits and bobs missing in terms of functionality, but still a very nice piece of kit. And iPhone Ringtone Maker is well worth $8.
