lolz owned. But it is a shame, I liked HD-DVD. After all, it did have DVD in its name, so I knew what it was. I guess blue-ray is better because it can hold more and it's suppose to be better quality.

Sony created Betamax and JVC made VHS. Betamax was the better product, but they had stricter licensing rules among other issues, so VHS prevailed and thats what we all use today.
Sony still used the technology to make it's Hi8 and Super8 and DV8 formats which revolutionised camcorders etc.
