With you pc Off...carefully remove and reinsert your new video card firmly in the slot...attach the screw. If that card needs seperate power supply hookup...find a free connector and hook that up.
Upon bootup...do you hear error beeps? This usually indicates that your mb bios is not able to access the video card. Stranger things have happened. Your new video card may be faulty. If your video card is not toast...I think it's small matter getting it going. |

Ill try the re seating method again but prob no go. Edit ok tried reseating and i confirmed that the fan was running and is now still.but no go. Im wondering what do i do about my onboard video? Wonder whats up..i dont think its the bad card because the fan is running. any other suggestions.? Theres sites say ooh its so easy.if i disable my onboard video and still no go how am i even gonna be able to see if that doesnt work..? Last edited by lockinload : 11-22-2006 at 07:01 AM. |

Have you done that? Boot to your BIOS and and disable your onboard video.
Still a no go? hmmm. I can't think of anything else...besides maybe your newly bought card is bad. One thing you can do is....bring that card to any local pc store and kindly ask them if they would mount it on a pc to see if it works. They may want to charge you $15 or so. |

no i havent disabled onboard cuz im wondering how im gonna see if it doesnt work.? i had a ATI all in wonder card in before and they both ran together fine,
Another note my mother board keeps refeerring to AGI and AGP as the same thing,And on the mb disk i have like vag drivers and stuff i dont know i might install them as last resort..But im wondering about the AGI and AGP also my AGP slot is purple not brown but my mb documentation says that it is a 1.5v agp slot,so i know i got the right card. |

Hey Bro don't worry about the board so much Turns out BF2 don't support you card either lol been trying for 2 days to get it to work All I get now is CTD every time I try to launch BF2.
I also can't have more than 2 web pages open at the same time or the damn thing goes into infinate loop ... what else oh yeah video hangs and I get to watch a bunch of stills with an unsyncronized audio overlay. That's what you get for upgrading to cra*p sorry just a little dissapointed by the whole radeon 1300x thing can you tell |

Lower priced video cards ($98.00) can't be expected to run todays more demanding games, even at lower detail levels, without glitches.
It's almost as if you have to have the right combination of everything in your box (software and hardware) to run them fine. |
