I plan on buying the Antec P150 SOLO mid tower case for my next upgrade. Simple, elegant and comes without a power supply (the Antec P 150 430w isn't enough).
You bought the tall tower of the same type.

Look into the Zalman line of cpu coolers. Add case fans where Antec made room for them.

It will be fine. Conroe is a very efficient architecture and I think they only give out a paltry 65w.

8800s do run hot but the P180 is a big case with good airflow so it shouldn't cause any problems.

I am pretty excited about it since it's my first time building one, but I didn't want to waste money buying a better CPU cooler or HS fans if I didn't need to.

thanks

Usually the reason people uprate the cooling in their cases if for overclocking. Considering you're not then stock cooling will be fine. Even on your stock cooling you still should be able to make a reasonably good overclock.
