US prices.
* Windows Vista Ultimate $349/$199 * Windows Vista Business $269/179 * Windows Vista Home Premium $239/$139 * Windows Vista Home Basic $199/$99 One price is full, the other is upgrade. No details on features. Of course...MS pulled this information from it's MS Canada site today saying.... "Microsoft inadvertently posted Windows Vista Canadian retail prices on their Web site, and the information has since been removed. There is no new pricing information to share currently but we plan to announce Windows Vista U.S. pricing when we ship Windows Vista RC1, later this quarter." Haha..too late now! It appears January 30th is the release date. Someone else working at MS let that slip awhile ago and Amazon.com now has it listed. Last edited by Caslon : 08-29-2006 at 05:54 AM. |

You're better off getting the full version, it saves having to install XP then Vista every time you format. |

I tried the win98 to Home upgrade. It wasn't as seamless as ppl thought.
There WERE issues and hassles and some confusion going from 98 to XP upgrade. I ended up buying the full XP Home after a format...it was so much easier, faster and cleaner an install. Either Home Premium or Home Basic will be my two choices. I wonder what the differences between the two will be, tho. |
