iPod Nano

OK....so I bought one.

Not for me but my girlfriend as an early Christmas present

Trouble is her Notebook (Notebook G4 to be precise) will not recognise it. The wrong iTunes version was on the disc supplied so I had to d/l the latest version and put that on. Trouble is iTunes will not recognise the iPod so she cant put any files on there.

Also should iTunes auto start when the iPod is connected?

Anyone know anything about iPods and wanna help an Apple thickie out?

Make sure you install iTune first.

Yes, iTunes should pick up the iPod and open up by itself

my ipod kept jacking off....

it's slow and crashes all the time. i had to sent it back to the company to fix it. i'm now officially a victim of the suckiness of ipod. i should have bought creative. DON'T MAKE THE SAME MISTAKE AS I DID!!! STOP IPOD AND ITS SHITTY QUALITY!!!

Creative Zen Micro 4 t3h win. The battery lasts forever, (and you can charge it from your usb port with the same cable you use to transfer songs) it's damn near indestructable, and with a decent pair of earphones it sounds fantastic.

Not to mention the fact that you can use it as a usb hdd, and that it has an fm radio.

I pity the fools who got an ipod.

All solved.

I told her to download any updates for the OS. Took her about a day as she is only on 56k but it seemed to solve the problem

Ipods are great. I have tons of them. I think we have like 6 in my house.

Ipod nano's seem to work fine on the new imac, so uhh perhaps reload your itunes, check for system updates, power cycle the computer, then attach nano to the cable to the computer.

Make sure its plugged in. If you need help, dont ask these thick heads, hit me on aim.

edit- i just came back to my computer and realized I didnt refresh the thread before responding, great 15minute lag I have.

hmm... apple sent back a brand new ipod. i bet they found out how shitty their quality is. o well, its great to have a new one.
