Hey all,
Currently my G-card is an ATi 9800 AIW. I have an AMD 3000+ processor with a VIA Gigabyte GA-7VT600(-L) motherboard. I have to run BF2 inlow-medium settings, in 1024x768 res, 2xAA, to get any level of playability. What would you reccomend as an upgrade to my graphics card? Im looking at the ATi X800XL, but since my LCD cant do more than 1280x1024, is it worth getting such a beast? Thanks |

I have the x800 pro and a 3ghz cpu with 2gigs of ram. I play at 1600x1200 with 4x and 4x respectfully all settings on high. Runs awesome. Something else here, i used to play at 1280 rez and noticed it ran better and looked better when I bumped up the res. Weird eh.

It comes in PCI-e and AGP versions.(or, the 850 does,..) Knock yourself out.
Ever notice when you get a new vidcard, you have this unexplanable urge to re-install all those old games you havent played in 2 years, just to see how they look completely cranked out? I just got an x850xt 256. Im fighting an insane urge to re-install 'Freelancer'... I -replaced- a 9800pro AIW, so -theoretically- it wouldve been as good as it gets anyways....*sigh* |
