R520 benchmarks. About the same speed as the 7800gtx. Only more expensive an not yet availible. ATI have screwed up this time round. |

Yeah, might be ture !
The R520 wasn´t going to blow anyone away, that was clear form the start. And you have to admit, ATI is no longer the underdog compared to Nvidia. Both companys have a big share of the GPU market, Nvidia probably having the slight advantage (I´d guess about 45% ATI, 50% Nvidia and 5% others).

Way off dick. The leader in the graphics card market is.....
*drum roll* Intel. Thers a lot of shit PCs out there. Allso ATI have been making cards longer than Nvidia. If anything NV where the underdog. But NV consistently turn out quality cards. The TNT2, GF2,GF3,GF6 and then 7. Ati only realy had the 8500 and 9700/9800 as stand out cards. |

Nvidia seems to be outclassing Ati in recent months/year. This makes me change my opinion a bit about both companies because I have always preferred the overall quality/accessibility that ati has had over nvidia. In the past, even though nvidia seemed to be better on some games then ati, ati was better on a larger majority of games then nvidia. (Lack of BF2 support for GeForce 4 cards would be an example.. Now this seems to be changing. But, I won't be getting a new graphics card anytime soon, so I'll wait and see what happens...
