Default Best sound card??

I have problems with my audigy 2 card
When ever I try to upgrade the drivers its says no card was detected
I get sound crackling in BF2 if I try to play using hardware
Also have noticed the cracking noise outside of games.
Have reinstalled the orginal drivers but doesnt seem to help :/

So I'm going to buy a new one
Was thinking of a AUDIGY 2 ZS
Anyone know why I should or shouldnt buy this one??

You can buy my audigy 2 ZS if you want.

I am selling it due to a problem you appear to have encounterd.

The drivers. They appear to have been designed to enflict the maximum amount of pain and suffering apon the user without getting the card working.

They are the worst drivers ever, they just suck.

£40 plus postage of your choice.

I have been seeing this a lot recently, I am beginning to think they are the source of my reboot problem.

Ignore the crap on the cd. Instead go to creatives site and download the beta driver. It's named something like 'beta driver with openal support' or something like that. There's no software o' doom with them and the driver is surprisingly good.

Ironic isn't it that the best driver creative ever put out was a beta driver?

This is the control panel you get. Small, compact and to the point.

I'm getting an X-FI Fatal1ty though, just for the e-penis extension.

Yeah, just read a preview on the X-Fi SPU. Sound pretty amazing.

The best thing about it for me is that it can simulate 5.1 sound on stero headphones...

The X-FI Fatal1ty FPS is awesome because of the X-Ram but it's gonna be a hell of a lot more expensive then the card only music one which is pretty much the same minus the X-Ram. I think I'm going to go just for the card...plus naming a card after a gamer is pretty lame IMO. :P
