OK it's my mobo, it's fried, so I'm going to upgrade my CPU and Mobo as well, using the existing Ram I just purchased. This is purely for my gaming computer to play BF2 exclusively.
Here's what I've decided to get: -Thermaltake A1772 AMD Recommended for Athlon 64 (Socket 754/939/940) (OEM) $49.00 - AMD Athlon 64 4000+ 1MB 90nm Rev. E San Diego (939) $482.00 - 2 Gig's of Corsair Xtreme PC3200 memory (already purchased this). But I need all of your help for the Mobo I should buy that would maximize performance of this set up. I need it to support AGP as I have an existing AGP GF 6800 GT, and have easy bios overclocking ability (including CPU multiplier). I'm happy to pay for the best as well, so what Mobo would you all recommend based on what I'm purchasing? Thanks in advance. PS, I'm leaning towards a MSI K8N NEO2 PLATINUM Socket 939 NVIDIA nForce3 Ultra ATX AMD Motherboard - Retail Link to it on NewEgg: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16813130468 Model #: K8N NEO2 PLATINUM but what do you guys think?

Thanks guys for your help. Grim I did indeed go with the K8N you recommended as I may want to play with OC'ing in the future. Parts should arrive mid-next week and be installed and running in my computer most likely by next Saturday.
By then (hopefully) BF2 will be patched correctly. Thanks again.

Yes I'll do that!
I've taken my whole computer and the upgrades which arrived yesterday to the local PC shop (Data Doctors is what they call themselves) and they're doing the upgrade / install now. My system should be ready by late tomorrow perhaps on Friday. It's going to be bad ass! (well not really, but it will be pretty quick).I think from now on, any upgrade or enhancement for my computer I'll just take it in to 'professionals.' While I'm pretty knowledgeable regarding picking components and putting together a virtual gaming rig, when it comes to actually installing them, I always screw it up somehow. Oh well. Again everyone thanks for all the help here. My *new* machine should be primed and ready for BF2 playing (hopefully with the patch) by this weekend!
