...is the helicopters AT missile used against infantry, and the rockets used against vehicles.
...you can destroy a vehicle with a 7.62mm minigun no matter how heavily armoured it is! ...is the Apache's 30mm Chaingun, that is designed for taking out armour, less powerful than a 7.62mm minigun ...you use tank guns as AA guns ...does the F-16 and the M163 have different cannons

I agree, but it's players making the best of a situation. If you wanted (as the developer) to make less people use the tanks for AA, you would have to slow the turret movement down, change the damage done by the shell, or change the fire rate of the tank's gun. Personally I think the turrent movement rate is a bit on the high side, but that doesn't bug me too much overall.
I'd like them to swap the minigun/chaingun around. The BH should be more of a transport than a flying fortress of death (being spawn camped by a BH that can shoot through roofs is not fun..) The game might be different from real life, but until the developers manage to change it to mirror real life, players will continue to use whatever is effective in the context of the game. |

I used my F-16 to run over a sniper camping a ridge over our base last night. I wanted to shoot him, but I couldnt get the nose down fast enough, and kicked in the afterburners to come around for another try. I just heard *thump*, and got the message I had (killed) him. Couldnt quit laughing.

The best is getting in that AC130 (the transport plane, might be wrong model) and ramming everything. That plane is a hog. I was on Gazalla the other day on my server and I took out 2 helos, 1 plane, and 2 tanks just by ramming them.
They should lower it's impact damage hit points or something. |

I suppose they made the armor on the AC-130 so strong because it's so damn slow and big, and if the armor was realistic, it would get shredded before it made it halfway to the enemy outpost.
Although being able to crash land it through 4 tanks is odd.... |

But its supposed to fly high, real high. There is no way anyone could shoot that thing down with a stinger if it was flying as high as it can go. But there has to be at least some chance of being able to shoot it down. At the moment, its nigh on impossible.

Not at all. From the ground, it's very hard to bring down. A well placed artillery or tank round will do it, but otherwise, yes, it's hard. But it's meant to be that way.
However, from the air, it's a big sitting duck. Just approach it from any side other than the left one, and it's harmless. A few solid passes with the machine guns on any plane will send it down in smoke, and you several kills richer! |
