BFV Install patch problems!! HELP!!!

Hi, i'm new here so go easy on me!

I've recently re-installed BFV v.1.0 no problems. I've tried to install patch 1.2 full but says: this version only updates from version 1.0 to 1.2 and you have 1.21!!! Also tried patch 1.21 full and get the same message!!

I only have 1.00 installed!! I've tried uninstalling it and re-installing a few times. I've even used a 'smart uninstaller' to clear the registry!

Still no joy at all. What the hell am i doing wrong?

Please, PLEASE help!! I love this game!!!

Mmmmmm - it may be that BFV is leaving registry bits that need to be cleaned up after an uninstall, and because of those random bits of registry goodness, it thinks you've already got the 1.21 patch installed.

I suppose it's also possible that, depending on when you bought the game, it could've already been patched to a certain level, but I'm less sure of that, because I assume it would involve costs that EA wouldn't want to pay.

The one thing I'm sure of is -

I could be completely, totally talking out of my ass right now, because in all honesty, I hated BFV, didn't play it long, and haven't had it on my PC for about 3 years or so.

So your best option may be to wait for independent confirmation of my asshattery or not-ness-ness.

God, I've got to quit posting when I'm drinking....

I'd like to say HTH, but looking back at my drivel, I'm afraid it won't...but seriously, check your registry, and make sure all traces of BFV were removed the last time you uninstalled. I do seem to remember there were some issues with either '42 or BFV regarding this.

Actually Rich, your drunken banter isn't all wrong. BFV did have problems uninstalling and would leave registry files behind. That is if you could get it to uninstall at all. Also, EA released an updated version of BFV called BFV: Redux which was a patched version. Although I'm not sure what it was patched to.
