visibility adjustable?

hi all,

was just wondering whether there is any way to adjust visibility. unfortunately I have to play on the lowest detail settings, and often don't see ppl from medium distances onwards, even if they should be visible (eg on a barren hill). is there any way to change this?

Increase fog distance, otherwise no.

i really wish it were so simple, but it's not there... there's the three main ones but none of them has anything to do with visibility, at least not from what i can see (texture quality, etc)

Take a screen shot of what you see. I don't have BFv installed so I can't check the exact name.

(all sliders)

hiya,
it's an ATI Mobility Radeon 9000.

from all the questions i'm getting here, i'm assuming there should be a simple fog slider somewhere?
