I gave up on bfv forever ago, I'm not even going to download it.

129mb, quite big, and i just downloaded the SWG trial, and some other stuff, im sure my ISP has a 1gb a day limit, but im on 2.5gb.

still in a few more patches and the WW2 mod it may make the game worht £25, maybe. and some decent mods.

Mmmm, traps finally show on the overlay. About freaking time.

Some interesting gameplay tweaks, helicopters should be a lot more vulnerable to ground fire now. Can't wait to play on some pubs tomorrow.

i played on pubs, as soon as i got in the new choppers my wonderful teammates lauched a rocket at it and i go kaboom!
i hate pubs, so much team killing, so many idiots who have no idea this is a team game and they are suppose to help teammates and capture points

i meant spawn points, but on the pub servers deserter is correct in his thinking

that aside the patch is quite good, fixes lots of stuff and more tweaking to even the game some people are saying lag is reduced but i dont know

Game still feels.. "ODD". Just a wierd feeling when playing this game!

Patch seems to fix somethings and regress in others. Maybe I'm wrong.

I think its cool, and you right the public players never capture spawns, first I tell them to get off there asses and catch some spawns, then I say"I'm gonna blow your ass off the face off the earth if you don't!" Then finnaly,"BOOOM!" say hello to mister huey!

I played the new map for a bit today, seemed like a jungle battleaxe. I liked, other than the fact Im not too good in BFV, this is now a reason for me to play more. Picked up an M60 and relized things had changed when I could kill a guy right in front of me. Stole an Mi8, and three or four infantry pulled me down with small arms like a dino in jurassic park. Its seems the game's alot better off, I might play it now..

Yeah, the patch is a step in the right direction, but there are simply some game-play flaws that will always be part of BFV.

The choppers, as in DC are the most predominant vehicles ingame. You guys might remember how a good pilot could dominate a game in vanilla BF. Well now its even worse since choppers are way more flexible than planes.

What really sucks is that you cant actualy run or hide from them in a jungle map. The crappy range of the undergrowth makes it impossible for you to cover yourself from the all-seeying-eyes of the chopper. Ad unless you have a right weapon, there is nothing much you can do about beeing blown away...

For me thats a real concern with BF2. With all the open desert terrain you´ll have very slim chances to ever escape from a chopper. I can just see them dominating the sky, especially if there are no planes about...

but chopper "armour" has been reduced greatly, a LAW or RPG will kill, or just about, in one hit, bullets do more damage, so its easier to take one out with an m60, and the M.U.T.T. has heat seeking missile, to kill those commie bastards!

and i love the new level, i take my shotgun hop in the new jeep turn on Ride of the Valkirins and zoom over to the enemy base, running over a few commies as i go and hop out and start 1 hit killin people with my shotgun, also in the open area in the middile those burned up choppers are great, they have either ammo or healt in them and the chinook has mounted m60 goodness

also that new map has some nice little touces like in one swampy area there is light fog with an Mi-8 that crashed in the middle with ammo inside, also little temples all over the place that make great ambush points

since downloading this patch, my radio commands are different. My F1 is both "affirmative" and "negative". The same goes with all the other F keys. How do I choose between one or the other?

you need to go into your profiles and select the one you normally use, this patch set the profile back to the default one

press once for top and twice for 2nd, or 3 times if there is that many

ex: Affirmitive and Negative are both in F1, so for Affirmitive press F1 once and for negative press F1 twice

Choppers dominate if the player is good...same with planes and same with infantry...etc, the one thing i hate is it takes like 100 rounds of a mig 21 to take out a cobra...the chinook is so easy witht he mig tho (because of missles).
