Black screen?

Sometimes the screen will just go black. I can hear the sound from the game continuing so I know it didn't freeze. I have to hit "Esc" to go back to the main menu and then hit it again to go back to the game.

It used to happen very rarely. Now much more often. It's to the point that I'll go through this escape procedure and then literally 3 seconds later it will happen again.

Anyone else experiencing this?

i,ve had this and hit ctrl alt del
and in the taskmanager it was
actually listed as blackscreen.
i hit end task and all was well.
wild,huh?

Hmmm...

I just recently went from Windows 98 to XP and it seemed to have stopped. It has come back though!

Maybe this has something to do with the way the game is launched. If you've ever tried connecting to a full server and then join another server after that, the game closes down and opens up again or something like that. I just notice that after I unsuccessfully try joining a full server or when the map changes. There's two windows sitting at the bottom though. Maybe that is a "black screen". Why this happens in the middle of a game is still a mystery though. :/
