Well, I´m not sure if the freshest ATI drivers fix any of the issues, but upgrading never harms.

It is funny in the release notes to the Cat 4.4 they have this:
Enabling AF to 8x and running the game Battlefield Vietnam with the graphics set to high and the display set to 1280x1024 32bpp results in display corruption being seen at a certain point of the game. Further information on this issue can be found at: www.ati.com/support/infobase/4500.html This statement makes it sound like if you use other resolutions, you will not have any problems but I know at 1024x768 with my 9800XT I see a lot of pixelation in the player models, trees, etc. One plus is that I do not get the flashing or missing textures, so at least they are making progress. |
