While playing BFV the game crashes to the desktop with infuriating frequency. It seems that the problem used to be limited to only online play, but now it happens when playing against bots and on local server. I have updated all drivers and ruled out system heat. I have also tried lowering device acceleration. No luck. Of course, no useful articles on EA site, but I have sent them an email with a copy of a current dxdiag attached. So far they've responded to me telling me that I probably have a PCI vid card, even though that was obviously eliminated by the dxdiag I sent them.
Here's HW info:Proc: AMD 3000+ RAM: 1gb VID: Radeon 9800 Pro / 256mb RAM SND: SB Audigy Gamer HD Free Space: 198gb Any help is appreciated

Bigger Hd will fix it!
j/k but seriously I've noticed this myself on several occasions. even having a scrim the other nite, about 4 members of the other team had a ctd at the same time! what maps have you noticed it on? one thing I always reccomend is try reinstalling DirectX it never hurts to try, and have found it to fix retarded things before!. other then that with all drivers updated, ( possibly check for new drivers for your mobo! ) |

Actually, I think I fixed it. I knew there was something familiar about the way the problem seemed to get worse, but I could quite nail it down. Then, I remembered some of the work I did at Dell. Clearing the NVRAM can sometimes cure a lot of ills. I cleared mine and it hasn't crashed since. If it is stable through the next couple of days intense UAT I'll be sure to pass the fix along to the "pci vid card" guy at AE Games.
