I was playing earlier tonight and experienced the loss of all my controls so when I went to the Infantry section to see what was up, everything was blank. I clicked on default and saved but that did not work and now my keyboard does not seem to respond ingame with any of the Infantry control section commands. Any help would be appreciated as I would prefer not to have to reinstall since I have read that the uninstall is bugged. You gotta love rushed releases trying to be first out of the gate to get a jump on UT2K4.

Since I got no response to my earlier post, I decided to unistall the game and then reinstall and I am still unable to get the controls to work in the game. In a year, this game may actually be good when they work out all the bugs, but right now it is very disappointing with all the various problems.

Owen it doesn't sound like you really uninstalled the game. It sounds as if you still have the control.con file that was in your messed up installation. Follow Unknown Soldier's instructions in this post http://forums.bfnation.net/viewtopic.php?t=17154. Make sure the entire BFV folder is deleted or it will just keep the control settings file. Or you could just create a new profile in the game and it should have the default controls already set up. I forget how you set up a profile in the game, but it's in one of the options menus. Hope this helps.

I was able to get it to work by making the infantry controls read only and then defaulting them and saving it. After I played a little bit, I left the game and then unchecked read only and they still worked so I am not sure why it fixed it but it is working now and that is all that real matters.
