Well, first as an engineer, you must find the tunnel exits (spawn points)with a spade next to them. You can then pick up the tunnel exit using the pick-up kit button (standard "G"), and then you can use the shouvel dig a new tunnel exit for the NVA/VC which then again functions as a spawnpoint...

Rather good guide if I do say so myself. The shovel spawn is very usefull if you set it at the enemys base. Get all those nice US copters and planes...

try reading the instruction manual, why is it that no one reads the manual then they ask everyone else expeting them to know. Come on people its really not that hard, if no one read it then no one would know so stop relying on the smart people all the time and read the thing
i do believe on page 6 under where it says Engineer there is a sub-section called NVA engineers only, on the first bullet it states:To dig up a tunnel entrance spawn point and relocate it, press G while standing over the spawn point to dig it up, then select the shovel and press Mouse Button 1 to replant it. was that so hard? now next time will all of you people please look at the maunal before asking a question,i swear everytime i go in a server about 80% of the peopl are asking how to do something, i open up the maunal and look! there it is! right there in the manual is what they want to know!

Only women read manuals.
Ok so the spawn points apear by default as spawn points without anyone making anything, but then somone can pick it up and move it to anywhere they want? I had alot of fun with the allied movable spawn. I went into a private server for 10 mins and practised picking shit up. Then i grabbed the spawn and dumped it near the far enemy spawn. After it was taken, i picked it up and dumped it at the other side. Great fun.

it is fun to take that spawn crate and put it on the NVA tunnel, haha makes for some great fights, its fun to just sit back and watch both teams pawn in the same place and kill each other and teammates

Ive found there are less instances of one team losin all their spawns and then just losing a hundred tickets all at once like in classic. I think this is because of those movable spawns.
So to win a map, you have to take all the flags, AND destroy their mobile spawn is that rite?

ok heres my question: Why doesn't anyone read the instruction manual and then they ask for help about something that is answered in the instruction manual, do they just expect everyone else to magically know? Or is it that they cant read?

I mean if these guys wouldn´t ask, we´d have nothing to talk about, and wouldn´t that be sad ?
@urseus: But since all bases can now be taken (just takes longer on some) it can easyily happen that one team gets totally raped. And not all maps have mobile spawn points...

1) Take shovel. 2) Dig hole in the ground. 3) Drop your copy of BFV in the hole. 4) Fill up the hole. I'm sure some people would agree with it... but personally I don't have much problem with BFV and I'm not at the point of throwing it thro the windows, yet... far from it. ![]() As for the instruction in the manual, I think they could be more specific: Quote:
I had no idea what the tunnel was looking like until I noticed a bunch of bots spawning in the hills during one of my SP game. :P |

EDIT: **** Do you think you could pick up a spawn point, hop in a plane/copter, fly wherever, bail out and then plant the spawn in the air? There are spawn points in the air on at least one map I've seen.

I agree that people should read the manual, as I am sure that some out their just don't. However the manual is not exactly very detailed in it's decription of events on how to build tunnels or (move-able) spawns. You cannot pick up a permanent spawn point ie a flag point and move it, The only spawn point you can pick up is a movable spawn point ( hole in ground with lid on it & shovel sticking out ) If you are an engineer NVA then you can do this by standing over the movable spawn point aim your croos hairs at it press the G button to pick it up, then place it where ever you like, within reason of course by aim your cross hairs at the ground choose the shovel left clik and it with build the new tunnel for you. THE BIG QUESTIONS : Where does the original movable spawn points come from ? (As an engineer cannot make a movable spawn point from nothing) ? How many movable spawn points can you have on one map?
Are there only some maps that can have movable spawn points on them, If the answer is yes then why even have engineers on that map allowing them the shovel option?!?!? You can destroy any movable spawn point by grenading it etc, I don't think the spawn point respawns automatically when this happens ?? Pass any answers to that one. Building a spawn in mid air,I don't think so must try it out, but helo spawmning is a good way of flooding enemy areas with para troops, I wonder if making a spawn point in water works. lol would be pretty difficult destroying that one, hope it out out too far in the water though Grrrrrrrr. ![]() |

I think the tunnels/boxes just spawn like any other object ingame.
Something I observed is that some spawnpoints only spawn, if a certain base has been taken. For example, when the US manage to take a certain base a tunnel exit spawn near it sometime. As far as I know, there is normaly only 1 movable spawnpoint per team.
