Default M60 kit fix idea

Move the m60 to assault and giving the anti armour guy the shot gun, but what about the spec ops levels you say? They have a choice between two different Cars, or sometimes a Car and an M16, so i have an idea of how to fix that. On the level where the US gets a choice between the CAR rifle, and the CAR grenade launcher, or the CAR and the M16, make a heavy assault kit, that would be the m60, with just the knfie, hand gun, m60, grenades, binoculors
and also for the NVA on those levels, move their heavy gun to the heavy assault kit with same weapons load as the US except different gun, and make it for the reg assault guy, a choice between the AK-47, and the AKMS
there problem solved

M60 is moved to reg assault on normal maps and the shotgun goes to anti crap, and that is even with the NVA, and on the spec ops level where they have CARs, you put the CARs and/or M16 into the reg assault and put M60 into heavy assault and the shotgun stays as anti crap, and for the NVA: AK-47 and AKMS for assault and their two heavy assault guns can go to heavy assault kit, just to sum it up so it makes more sense

I dont see a problem. I have been owning US assault with my AK and since I just take their m60 from them, I am walking around with a m60 as NVA all the time

they don't have m60's in desert combat. unless you're talking about the the m249 SAW.

He probably mean that. I agree that something has do be done abut the M60/AT class. Its not only the M60 itself thatsunfair, but also the fackt that the guy is the AT class aswell.

I say, keep the M60 with the heavy waepons, but make it a real "Support" rifle, requireing you to crouch or prone in order to be effective.
Then make the other Heavy weapons kit the US AT class by giving hin a Shotgun+LAWs.
The grenade lauchner could be moved to some other class and remove normal grenades...

medic packs are only provided in some maps. not all maps have medics. sometimes im not use to that. Dice should start considering the balance of class system. I think its unfair.

i just figured that out.

all i got to say is, WTF?!?

is it too much to ask for a standard kit for each class? do they really have to fsck around with the kit on each map?

crap, there are some maps where the americans get LAW, M60 and an AID in the same kit.

WTF WERE THEY THINKING?!

were they sitting around the table try to come up with the most over-whelming kit on purpose?

the ones with the medic kit are special ops, so thats why they have it
but my idea that i posted above will fix all this and make it all even

the m60 really is ridiculas.

I was playing on operations game warden as NVA and I had hte SVD sniper rifle or whatever. I was about 50 yards away from my own base targeting it because the US guys kept trying to take it over and just stood next to the flag making for easy targets. So I saw one guy run past the flag behind the base starting to look for me in the bush, he was looking on the wrong side of the base cause I was on the side and we were about 70yards from each other. I see him go prone facing my direction and since he finally stopped I took my shot too. I was aiming for the head and hit him in the shoulder I guess b/c I saw him flinch but he kept shooting. Before I could get my 2nd shot off with the sniper rifle he got me with the m60 from like 70 yards away. And before you think I just suck at sniping, I don't. The reason that guy started hunting me down was because I had killed him like 5 times prior with headshots, a couple times moving. Even before he killed me I got my shot off first and hit him but the m60 just made a better sniper weapon, who would have thought?

Just bad testing on DICE's part about the m60. Other than the SA-7, no real NVA weapons can beat the American. I mean, the AK was and still is a kick ass gun... why is it so weak?

I'd also love to see any creator of the game run around with one of these m60 and pop some guy 100 yds away without even slowing down.

Everyone has been joining the american side on our server so we always take NVA and we have been owning. The M60 is powerful, so what? Its about being sneaky. Thats the secret, be sneaky and you can kick ass.

i have been sniped by some guy with an m60 that was so far away that when i did the regular zoom with my ak-47 i could just see him in the fog, and he killed me in about 5 hits when i was on the run, thats rediculous

these are the some m60 tweakes to need to happen in the next patch

Firing positions:
Running: should have horrible acuracy, shouldnt be able to kill a guy 10 feet away without firing a lot of bullets
Standing: acuracy should decrease once the weapon is being fired, meaning there should be a big kickback and bullets so go all over the place but not accuratly
Crouching: better accuracy less kickback
Prone: best accuracy but not a long ranges, no kickback

and what i mentiond in my first post about the kit fix

The m60 can be annoying but it doesn't bother me too much. I pick the m16 over it unless I need anti-armor weapons.

NavalLord, how come it wouldn't shoot well at long ranges while prone? Isn't that exactly what it should be for?

im just saying that you shouldnt be able to snipe with it, because as i said i was shot by someone that was barely visible through the fog, that shouldnt happen, i agree it should have a decent range, but not as much as a sniper rifle

I think the m60 should have overheating meters, because in real combat m60 is known for its problems and overheating. i guess dice just forgot to add it in, and now m60 becomes super weapon.

Yes, have the M60 behave just like in EoD. (Prone most accurate). I also like the idea of an overheat guage. This should balance it out better. It's ridculous the way it is now.

I don´t think the medkit is much of an issue since you don´t take many hits in any situation. So I rarely find myself running around with low health.

But I agree with the rest of you guys about the weapon balance.

Another rediculus issue is the vehicle damage system. While cruising around with the jeeo, you only need to hit a little bumb, or jump down a slight slope and you go BOOM !
