Default The Kits Would be Nice if...

Americans:
Assault: Move the M60 there(with a fix on the spread while standing/moving), possibly remove the Shotty
Engineer: M14 given a slightly better zoom to compensate for the crazy recoil and put it on par with the Type-56 (that has a better zoom while having a weaker ammo)
Anti-Armor: Replace the M60 by the Shotgun
Sniper: They are ok in my opinion.

Viets:
Assault: They are ok in my opinion.
Engineer: Give them the Type-56 instead of the MAT49.
Anti-Armor: Give them the MAT49 (with a slight fix on the accuracy cause right now it's a mini assault rifle)
Sniper: Hmm... I'd remove the Type-56 from there... dunno what it's doing there in the first place.

Claymores: Make them a directional weapon like it should be.

Your ideas? Try to make it short, stay focused on the kits and post ideas that you think would be realizable (ie: don't add more stuff and fix things), please

The M60 is a tad overpowered atm. More spread maybe would be good.

Its not only the M60 that pisses me off, but also the fackt, that the guy is also the AT class. So, nomatter where you are, on what map, there are allways plenty of LAW soldiers running around.
Bad kit balance. I think the M60 should force you to prone, or at least crouch in order to be effective...

And I´m not sure if the tanks still have weak spots. If they dont, then they should have, because that was one of the best BF 1942 features...

I wish the VC antitank guy could have like 2 more heat seekers and the option to use a AK47 or the other russan MG. This would slightly even him up with his counterpart (Rambo M60 guy)

i agree moving the m60 to assault and giving the anti armour guy the shot gun, but what about the spec ops levels? they have a choice between two different Cars, or sometimes a Car and an M16, so i dont know what you could do for that

ive got it!

on the level where the US gets a choice between the CAR rifle, and the CAR grenade launcher, or the CAR and the M16, make a heavey assault kit, that would be the m60, with just the knfie, hand gun, m60, grenades, binoculors
and also for the NVA on those levels, move their heavy gun to the heavy assault kit with same weapons load as the US except different gun, and make it for the reg assault guy, a choice between the AK-47, and the AKMS
there problem solved

Hmm... how about this for the American Special Ops:
Assault 1 (Light): CAR15
Assault 2 (Heavy): M60
Engineers: M14 or Shotgun
AntiArmor 1 (Grenadier): CAR15/XM148 (Remove the M79 since the XM148 takes its place)
AntiArmor 2: M72 + Shotgun
Snipers: M16S, M21 or M40 (The usual stuff)

you have to keep th m79, thats my favorite weapon.

i was hoping to be able to have either the Car or m16 with the m79,

I loved see the "blooper" in the movies

I didn't mean to remove it completely from the game, just swap things around a little for the Special Forces US troops since the CAR15/M16 would be a problem if the M60 was moved to the Assault class (see first post of the thread for the "standard" loadouts I thought would be nice.)

Historicaly, grenadiers only had the M79 (but of course, I'm sure they had more than 5 nades for their Bloopers) and sometimes the M1911A until the introduction of the M203. Since the M79 and the XM148 seem to have about the same amount of grenades, I don't think it would be much of a difference to replace the M79 by the CAR15/XM148.

But of course, it's just an opinion...

put the m60 and the LAW together and you only need snipers and your team is complete. move the m60 the assault and the shotgun to anti-tank

corax is right with his idea, since the car15 second choice allready has a grenade launcher just put that into the antitank class and the rest of what he said
and then with the reagular loadout US guys (non spec ops) just switch the m60 and the shotgun and leave the m79 and all the rest where they are

I've been doing some thinking about the kits, and I like the power of the m60 as is. That weapon was a murder machine. fire on the run is the biggest problem with the m60 in my opinion at the present moment. My new gripe is that no one uses the m16. That was the common inf. weapon. What do you all think about having the law and blooper go along with the m16 in a kit. That would insure the the m16 is used and not everyone would take the m60 kit.

I have to be honest that i use the m60 kit alot, but more for the secondary weapon, and not the m60. as its stands why be anything else. the current m60 kit covers all the bases so there is no need to be anthing else.

Im pretty happy with the NVA kits at the moment, but hate a few maps because of the MI-8's. gamewarden and operation hastings does not allow the US any good opertunities to take these out. especially the fly the MI8 TRANSPORT chopper to the ceiling over the us base and let it rain NVA for the whole round

I like it, but i also think that there should be a medic class in the game. I just think that the balance of the game isnt that great in bfv when compared to bf1942. so they have to reorgainze and redo the class system again to make it fair.
