Default Help with 9800pro

If i enable AA and AF, I get textures getting all messed up. When its all turned off its your basic jaggies that I dont like.

Anyone else having these probs with this card or should i go all the way down to 3.9 cats, using 4.2 atm.

ATI card users there is a fix for the AA/AF glitches. goto display properties/advanced/3d then click on compatibility and enable alternate pixel center.

Nope, not much of a fix is it. That doesnt work and only way to get rid of messed up textures is to disable aa and af. So bf42 looks and plays amazing but bfv looks and plays like crap. Nice. If they dont patch this asap, mine is going back.

edit: man, just tried bf42, aa 4x, af 4x everything on high and 1280 res, 100fps. If I do that with bfv, totally unplayable. Gotta make bfv as ugly as possible to be playable. What a joke.

420, I'm having exact same problem, things like the gun goes missing while walking. I found the radio controls just disappear and what not. Very frustrating, same issue, if I take AA and AF off, no probs, but dumb pixelated corners.... sigh.. I'm gonna keep reading, and no the center pixel didn't work for me either, that's just a text thing.

Thanks man, I have a radeon 9700 pro and had the same problems, but this fix worked for me together with the latest drivers

what worked best for me was turning off lightmaps and shadows. I didn't want to do it but I went from 30-40fps at 800x600 to 70-100fps at 1024x768.
