Trouble w/ Battlefield 2142

I've downloaded the game, but when i click on the icon a blank black screen comes up, then after about 10 seconds it goes back to my desktop.
anybody know how to fix this?

i hav a similar problem but wen i get into the menu and it starts loading a game (either on multiplayer or single) it quickly blacks out and goes back to the desktop, i hav top specs and alos hav the 1.4 patch, ne help plz?

"top specs" isn't to descriptive, more details and we may be able to help you.

The problem is that you have BF2142 installed. What you need to do is uninstall it, then you should be fine.
