Hey there, I just bought a new 20.1" LG Panel moniter, it's replacing my old 19" CRT Moniter.
After building, and connecting my new moniter up, and setting the resolution too 1240x768 I decided too see how Battlefield2142 looked. I clicked the battlefield icon, I got the first loading page, then a black screen. The black screeen then dissapeared, and it brought me too my desktop. I pressed cntr alt delete too see if it was somehow still running in the background, it wasn't. I'v tried playing around with different resolutions, no luck. What can I do? Any suggestions are welcome!@#!@ ![]() Thanks, ~Rich

I have a M2n-E (asus) AM2 socket motherboard, with a AMD 64 3800+. I have 2 gb of DDr2 667 ram (kingston). For a video card I got a E-Geforce 7950 GT KO (PCI-E 512mb). I'm running Windows XP, anything I miss here?
Hope you can help :s ~Rich

after 4 and a half hours of frustration I finally got it too work.
My previous account's video configuration with my old moniter was at 85 hertz refresh rate. My new moniter's max refresh is 75. Reinstalling the game wouldn't have done anything because the configurations are saved on the account. I had to rehook my old CRT moniter back in and change the config, then reinstall my new moniter and drivers. What a releaf ![]()

Good to hear you got it working,... Is that typical for LCD monitors? Do they have a 'set' refresh rate on them?
Ive got a 21" Nokia CRT Ive been loathe to part with, it served me well,... But I know Im going to have to go with LCD soon. So far Ive been looking for lowered response times, I know theyre generally optimized for 1280*1020,.. Is the refresh rate the same sort of thing? Can/should/would I even need to adjust refresh rate on the monitor? |

Correct, the image isn't refreshed a certain amount of times a second as only the parts that change are redrawn.
Saying that the term redrawn isn't strictly accurate as there is no electron gun drawing the picture. But still. |
