Default BF2142 Friendly Fire OFF or ON cuts both ways

You're all at a flag about to change it...FF OFF.

Mr. hopping enemy det pack guy appears among you all and quickly sets off his det pack, killing you all, while he is undamaged.

If friendly fire is off, you still get killed by your own explosives.

Wouldn't it just be easier to go back to the way it used to be, FF on all the time with excepts for mines.

It seems like they can never decide to choose one side or the other, so they screw everyone by staying in the middle of the problem and not fixing anything. I'd prefer the full FF personally, at least the bunny hoppers couldn't rule the maps that way.

One way (maybe) to thwart det pack bunnies on FF Off servers is to set the
friendly fire damage at say...50%. In BF2 you can do that.
That way...maybe det pack bunnies would incur enough self inflicted damage to
kill themselves if they are anywhere near the vicinity of their det pack explosions.

thing that drives me absolutely INSANE is how on servers with FF on, I will go on titan defense, and I will play support placing my sentry gun down alongside another support gunner's sentry. If my sentry gun is placed anywhere behind the other guys sentry gun and it fires upon an enemy, it will hit the other guys sentry and rack up horrible amounts of team damage points, plummeting my score from really good into the negatives.

It's probably the game coding. Your sentry gun is seen by the game code as interferring with the other sentry gun's aim.

You've finally breached the enemy Titan core, you're the only one in there with RDX, your squad member spawns on you as Support, you take the hull down to critical, five more charges and the round is yours.

Four more teammates enter the core room and stand there shooting at the core with AR's, you're yelling "Go! Go! Go!" They still stand there, totally oblivious that FF is on and you're waiting for them to clear the area so you can finally kill the Titan.

The enemy is regrouping and approaching from both sides, still the 'tards are shooting the core with little to no interest in the enemies now entering the core room.

Aw, fook it, you click your detonator!

"The enemy Titan is destroyed"

"Deathmaker-UK was kicked from the server for excessive teamkilling".
