Default Server kits from map to map....server to server

This has been puzzling me for awhile. Conquest Mode.
On some servers, from map to map on same server, it retains your kits so you don't have to waste precious time at map begin to drag them over.

Then...on others, you have to redo them when same map switches sides!
What a stupid waste of valuable time (servers that don't retain squad leader).

To make things even more wierd is that I quit one server and go to another and I retain my kit choices! Others I don't retain them.

I don't run a server, so I don't know all the server side choices.
I'm getting pretty damn frustrated finding that on same server maps, I need to redo my kits...other servers, I retain such kit preferences.

It's hard enough at map start for Squad leaders, as you need to quickly do so...then click "Invite" to populate your squad...then click "Apply."

Then you end up spawning at map switch beginning with nothing but a default gun!

This really needs attention...either by DICE or by server admins. Not really sure which. Some may be running a custom server side BF2142 server app and not knowing how to set preferences.
In other words, I quit some server and join another and I've retained my kit preferences.

All I know is that it's rediculous on servers that renew squad leaders...to have to laboriously redo your kit...especially if your going for squad leader and want to get going to flag.

It's probably the way the server admin set up his server "preferences"...or didnt.

The obvious choice is that you should retain your kit choices as a given, then alter them if you want. Having to redo them is kinda rediculous (after joining a BF2142 server map change or side switch).
It's clumsy time consuming.

BTW...I am heavily in favor of servers where you have to "choose" to be a Squad Leader each round.
I quit servers where the setting is to keep same Squad Leader round after round after round.
I wouldn't mind a limit on it...but not untill he quits the game. My god...some of them are lame.

Also...you should be shot if you choose to be a squad leader and don't have the squad beacon unlock or don't utilize it.

Rah!

Yeah, its a real pita. I tend to take more or less the same loadout with whatever kit i choose with the odd swap depending on the situation. Having to redo each kit just sucks.

Oh, I dunno. I think the Otus drone is a lot more use sometimes, especially on Conquest. Plus the fact that the SLSB has a nasty habit of causing CTD's.

Getting yourself to a position as a squad leader with a beacon is the key to winning most maps...if you are talented at doing so.

Stealth invisiable teammembers are pretty damn cool at capping a far flag.

Meh, I win twice as many rounds as I lose, anyone with half a brain can usually tell exactly where the SLSB is, no matter how well you hide it and the fact that it's so fickle about where it can be placed makes even less useful.

Give me the Otus any day, pod in as much as you want, I'll know exactly where you are.

I don't doubt Deathmakers skill-BF2142 rank...nice. I'm only near 2nd Lt. Gold.

I play on a lot of public servers with ppl without even half a brain.

I still find that unless you have an aware squad that will spawn next to your position, a spawn beacon is the next best thing.

I'll take my chances with a squad beacon.

And I still say the way that servers handle the kit thing is pretty lame.
Let's get some uniformity with this.
