just wont load levels or servers

this is an old topic but ive played for a total of 13 hours and it worked fine, i bought the game used, but one day it will load then on the loading bar it will just stop, ive left it loading for 2 hours and it stayed the same, i thought it might be the disc cuz it is scratched so i bought a new copy and it still has the same problem, ive tried reinstalling everything, any tips?

While I should be more trusting of ppl...I can't help but wonder who drops in for help with their hacked version of a game. It happens.

If it was working and then it just stopped...it's too hard to tell what changed in your system to cause this (with what little info you provided).

Try just Googling "BF2142 stops loading" and see what results you get.

It could be so many things.

well i dont have a hacked version, i bought it from a rather large chain store here in canada, apperently im not the only one having this problem, i also have to restart my computer whenever i try to load anything even on singleplay

You might suspect any additional DVD software added.
Hell, you might even try a Restore back to the date when the game played OK.

A game simply doesn't refuse to load after it did before, unless there's a ghost in your machine.
Try and relate back here whatever changes you made.

Some added DVD software or whatever program, and..

It's hard to tell when you post minimum info. Do you expect 100 posted solutions to try?

100 replys? no i just play the game i dont know shit about computers i leave that to my dad and sister, from what ive read other people are having the problem, like i said this is the second version of the game, but my hard drive is being whiped soon that might fix it

oops. *this is my second copy of the game, both are deluxe edition its all i can find,
