How do you tell Squad Spawn Beacons apart?
I and my squad can tell mine by the noise it makes. No real visual signs.
As far as I can tell, there is no real indicator (using gun zoom or crosshairs) to identify another teammembers spawn beacon...or even an enemy beacon. I can tell an enemies beacon by looking at all the pods screaming down to it. Not by crosshairs tho. I destroy one of my teammate squad leaders spawn beacon...and I get penalized for it. I've not had time to take too long and look at beacons during a fast paced match. Is there a way to tell? Last edited by Caslon : 12-21-2006 at 03:21 AM. |

hell most of the time if I find it is an enemy beacon I just leave it there and kill em when they drop down. Plop a APM or sentry gun near by

Hopefully...someone at DICE will drop by and read this thread.
We can tell mini gun turrets set up (by our team or the enemies)...it takes a few secs to scope in on them...but we can tell. DICE...we can't tell one spawn beacon from another...not even our own teams one. If having to scope the mini map is the answer...that's unacceptable. |

Just kidding. I generally look for pods and see what team they are then either blow up the beacon and kill the podder, or leave.
