I really need your help guys, EA is useless for customer support.
I have two monitors: My secondary monitor is a 22" CRT My Primary Monitor is a 22" widescreen LCD I have them set up as dual monitors. When I make my CRT the primary then BF2142 will load up and work fine. But when I have my LCD as primary then I get a black screen for a few seconds that closes to desktop without an error message. The game refuses to load on my LCD. I know BF2142 doesn't support widescreen, but it should still load! Any idea on how to resolve my issue? Thanks in advance guys, you're my only hope. |

What's the resolution and refresh rate your're running on the LCD and the CRT? If the refresh rate on the LCD is unsupported by battlefield, then it might cause the game to crash.

try putting this in your shortcut "+szx 1680 +szy 1050" without the quotes
Should look like this. This is mine "C Battlefield 2142\BF2142.exe" +menu 1 +fullscreen 1 +szx 1680 +szy 1050Right click on your icon select "Properties"

Hey. I think I responded to you over at EA forums.
I have the same monitor and I run it as primary with my notebook monitor turned off. The monitor refresh ranges from 60-75, at least. I had to manual install the Samsung driver, as windows would not auto detect it. A few days later, stupid windows BS............it decided to drop in an extra driver, which is something like "standard television". I keep uninstalling it and it keeps reinstalling it.. Anyway, it doesn't seem to affect anything, but I'd still like to get rid of it. Unfortunately, windows plug and play still doesn't work that great. |
