Squad Leader Spawn Beacons sometimes cannot be map located by me once placed near some building structures on Conquest Maps. I have to manually
find them again and grab them and replace them somewhere else. |

Just use your pickup key (grab)...usually the G key.
You can also pick up dead soldiers kits when their bodies dissapate, leaving some sorta white kit object. Last edited by Caslon : 12-27-2006 at 12:29 AM. |

Silo number 4 on Sidi Power Plant was being hotly disputed in a round I was playing last night, so I deployed the Squad Beacon (no eggs) behind the buildings in case the silo was neutralised. When it came to selecting it to spawn, the icon was following the enemy gunship around the map, although it was actually podding us in at the right location. Very strange indeed.

Wow cool! I knew about the kit pickup (same as good ol' BF2) but I had no idea you could pick up beacons. I guess that could be used as a way to ID them. If you can pick it up its friendly, if not its either enemy or another squads. (still not very good method)

Getting nailed by an Engineers rocket while you are well behind a hill or cover.
I realize that they can be "steared." But not THAT MUCH. Cerebre Landing conquest map. Tall hill overlookng the Church flag ..you know the one. I was well behind that ice covered hill area to try and go down and plant a beacon. I was BEHIND any view to the Church. I get killed by a rocketeer firing his guided missles. Noone can "stear" a rocket up and over that ice embankment. Come on! |
