Hey guys,
It's definitely been a while but I believe I have to make time for 2142! I am really looking forward in seeing you guys on the battlefield like the good old days. We have been messing with the demo all morning and it is just amazing. The gameplay is very tight and the feel to alot of the weapon kits have been dramatically tightened! Looking forward to this one! Lemme know whatcha think. |

Damn! Nice to see Walmart playing again. Walmart has leet skills..but didnt like BF2.
I kinda enjoyed the beta test. It wasn't a breakthru as far as coolness, but it has it's appeal. I got to be pretty good at transport helo in the beta test. PPL actually trusted my skill by staying in their seats untill I touched down. I had to stress that over and over and over again tho. That's another sticky point about the beta...passengers in helo would jump out too soon and I as helo pilot would get TK's for just doing my pilot job. I hope DICE corrected that. |

The EA master login server has been slammed and being overwhelmed with so many connections it seems to just run into crash cycles.
Ive heard rumors of people trying to create accounts (tikitoker) with their social security numbers and being denied due to accounts supposedly already existing. Basically, EA needs to fix or add to the account servers and if Im not mistaken they are currently adjusting accordingly. Soon my friends. Soon. |

This is homo. I'm about to leave for like 3 days and all I want to do is play this demo. Unfortunately, EA's management can't get their asses in gear.
"Hmm, so we need a 'Master Server' Eh? Well, I'm sure this 20 year old laptop will do." "Sir, this seems like a bad id-" "Shutup, I make more money than you, which means I'm smarter" That about sums up EA's management right there. |

Is everyone sure they're using the ones they wrote down when they originally bought BF2? I remember back then creating a BF2 account was kinda glitchy too. I typed what I wanted to use and ended up having to create a new account. EA didn't exaclty make it a piece of cake. |

I like the polished menu and the functional game browser. I was also impressed how you can fight *inside* the titan (a giant vehicle) and it doesnt lag you to death.
I dont like the demo level, and dont like the colors. The vehicles are grey/brown, same as the ground, the sky and the soldiers. I can hardly spot anything! ![]() And the PAC have black uniforms for good camouflage, while the EU has orange parts on them. I also dont like the weapons, they are more arcade then ever. They have big gfx effects, but are weak and have much stray. |

I'm diggin this demo...it makes me a lot more secure that this feels more than just a mod for BF2. I felt totally lost playing it for the first time today in Titan mode, so that is a good thing. lol.
there are a few things I don't like, like how many hits it takes to kill a guy is still the same as BF2. er, take a lesson from PoE2 on how many hits it takes to kill a guy, much more realistic. And oh yeah, about the account signing in, I realized you have to use the account name and password you use on like the EA downloader...not the username and pass you use to get into BF2. |

I have to agree with some about raised issues of combat gameplay.
I don't feel as if my character is accurately firing bullets as much as he's shooting at a general area in the vicinity of an enemy soldier. With every new game in this series...I sense more and more taken away from the actual immersed feeling of being in an accurate shooter game. It started with BF2..and I got used to it. It continues with BF2142 and seems to be getting worse. As an online fps player...I feel less and less bullet directed combat "umph" at enemies. More and more I feel "removed" (if that is the right description) from the action. Some say..almost console-ish type enemy to enemy action. Example: Often times.... I can barely follow my bullets shooting at enemy. I only see a white semi circle and the enemies health bar being reduced. It's a little disappointing to tell you the truth. Some attribute this to the added "muzzle flash" effect. To me...it just leaves me guessing as where to aim my barrage. Also...I don't feel as much quickness and freedom of movement as in BF1942 and BF2. I feel as if I'm sloshing around in ankle deep water, no matter where I am. It's still a pretty cool game. I played the test beta and liked it. I liked the Verdun beta test map more than this demo map. For me... the combat play in EA's newest offering seems to be "devolving".
