It's the way of the gaming world now. Deal with it.
Wallstreet projections of what EA profits will be...EA paying huge sums to game developers to meet release deadlines set 14 months earlier. Stockholders collectively investing huge sums with EA who in turn paid DICE big bucks(and other EA gamemakers) to meet those future projected profit quotas. It's no longer a gamemaker getting a game out when it's ready....it's about game developer being paid a lot to produce a future follow up hit (20 months earlier when the contracts were signed). It's called a due date and it figures into all who invest in EA stock (who pays DICE to develop an upcoming game). Collectively, PC games are now almost as big a business as building oil supertankers. Only...supertankers get taken out on a test sea trial run and need to pass established certification...games don't. |

Even though I have bought ever other BF game on release. I think I shall pass on 2142. I'll wait for a couple of prices and a 50% price reduction. Then I'll get a polished add on for BF2 which is reasonable priced.
Still, I do wonder what they are planning for BF3. |

Seems like an alright mod to me, I'll probably throw down.
I might download it first, but then again this DSL is slow and I'd like to play online without being a gaylord.

Hey, aol runs plenty fast on my alienware 90000xts extreme! edition.
im gettin bf2142. the sniper kit and ability to mod your kits is awesome. the titan mode sounded cool but i think it would be fun only on large scale maps. the demo video showed a huge titan battle going on, but without more than 32 players your going to be hard pressed to find something like that. |

Everytime I play it. I keep telling myself that they could have made this game as a mod to BF2.

I had 3mb (360KB/s) down cable untill a year ago. I really haven't been playing online as much since then as this DSL is like 320kb down (40KB/s). My system is still decent, A64 3500+/7800GT, but I've mainly been playing single player. Now BF2142 comes out and I want that cable back!
