Default can i run BF bf2142?

well..recommended specs
Minimum
Operating System: Windows XP (32-bit) with Admin rights
Processor: 1.7 GHz Intel Celeron D / Pentium 4 or AMD Athlon XP/ Sempron or greater
RAM: 512 MB of RAM or more
CD-ROM: 8x or faster DVD drive
Hard Drive: 2.3 GB free hard drive space or more
Processor: DirectX 9.0c compatible sound card
Video Card: 128Mb Video card or more

(Recommended for BF2142):

CPU: 3.0 Ghz
RAM: 1.5 Gb
Video Card: 256Mb DirectX compliant video card, Pixel shader 2.0 and above.
Hard Drive space: 1.8Gb of space is required to install the game
Internet connection: 512Mb Cable/DSL connection

my pc specs
CPU: 2.0 Ghz (Amd Athlon 64 / dual core)
RAM: 1.5 Gb
Video Card: (Currently Ati Express 200, but I'm buying a Ati Radeon X1600 Pro or X1300 Pro when i go to pickup my BF 2142)
Hard Drive Space: 80gb ?
internet connection: roadrunner cable

i was told i could play it from a very professional computer tech as long as i buy a video card, but im wondering if i could play with NO lag, considering my Ghz is much lower then the recommended, then again the recommended is probably for Intel, which is less powerful then AMD Athlon, so do u guys think i could play this with no lag?

Ignore the GHz thing. It only really applies to P4s, the equivalent GHz it what matters so for your processor (3800X2) it will be fine.

A X1600 would run it okay but I would recommend a 7600GT, around the same price but Bette performance.

Well you said

So the only A64 Dual core that runs at 2GHz is the 3800. Still, a 3200 is right for single core.

About the X1600 its not that bad, I just thought they were the same price. Still, They both should be able to run on medium settings.

do you think i could run it with the X1300 Pro? because if it could run, i could get that alot easier then the X1600, also are these video cards good enough to run Dark Messiah: Might and Magic?

Well that just plain isn't dual core. Please excuse me for knowing what I am talking about

Yes, it will run on a 3200 with a X1300, however, don't expect it to run particularly well.
