My doc -> BF2 -> profile -> 001 (profile folder) -> controls.con file
Its been a while but i believe thats what you would have to save.

What I do whenever I reformat my PC and start all over again:
Create backup of "00x" (profile Folder) Reformat Install BF2 "Retrieve" Account in the game Go to where the profile is stored Copy the backup over the fresh profile
