Default MichealD benefit tournament

Team HOT, Frag TV, Connect 3d, Gigafrag.net, Get Swoned, Check Six, and others invite everyone to come participate in a day of Battlefield 2 event on Sunday the 21st of January. On that day, we will be hosting a 5v5 infantry only single elimination tournament, a 1v1 tanking single elimination tournament, a last man standing knife fight, and a 2v2 chopper single elimination tournament. There will be first place prizes for each tournament winner(s). Frag TV will be covering the 5v5 tournament and whatever else catches their fancy. The cost to participate in the days events is $10 and this $10 will get you into any and all of the events you wish to participate in.

20ID is working on acquiring additional prizes from our sponsors for this event. In addition we look forward to participating and supporting a great cause.

Prizes aside, please come support this event and help out a fellow player in the process. If you are the first person eliminated in every event you’ll still have done your part to help out a family in need.

Teams can start registering and donating immediately at RivalsOnline!. There is an option to pay when you sign up, or you can pay later. All donations can be sent via paypal to TeamHOT.Inc@gmail.com at any time before the tournament.

Rules and formats will be posted at a later time. I need all teams/players interested to please reply with your teams/player names and which events you are interested in so we can gauge the team counts. Make sure you leave a note with your game name when you pay so we avoid confusion later.

We at Team HOT would like to thank you in advance and look forward to what should be a fun time.

From TeamHOT.net...

Hello,

For those of you how don't know me let me share a bit of info. I am Michael D. Wilbanks, I have been a member of Team HOT for the last year. Yesterday morning at around 8:45 am my family's appliance store ( Wilbanks A/c and Appliance ) caught on fire and burned to the ground. As the awning collapsed from the roof a firefighter (Phillip Townsend) was caught and trapped for nearly 30 minutes while everyone tried to rescue him. After they pulled him from he burning debris. He was rushed to the hospital and died soon after. He was only 31 years old, and had only been apart of the Denison Fire Department for about a year. In his death he leaves behind a wife, and 3 young children.

The tragedy however doesn't end there. My family does not have insurance to cover anything , they always lived day by day with the money they made. Paying bills, buying food, and gas needed to keep a working business going. Any kind of money they ever made was put back into the store to keep it running. The family owned and runned business has been around for 12 + years. They always put their hearts into that store, working 6 days a week. Doing all the repairs, sells, and delivery's by themselves. They have lost everything in the fire, every appliance was nearly melted to the ground. My father lost all his tools, recovery machines, freon and gauges. The entire inventory of parts used for repairs was burnt to a crisp. They are left with a store in shambles, nothing is salvageable. Now for someone my age to have to start all over from scratch it wouldn't be such a big deal. But my father is nearly pushing 50, and my mother the same. Luckily the realator was kind enough to offer a building he has for us to start all over in. Its been vacant for about 4 years, it has a ton of garbage in it and the roof leaks .Its probably going to be some time before they can get any kind of steady income to support themselves. There have already been numerous people who have offered to come help out with the building and such that needs to be down. Some even offered old toolsets, a little here and a little there makes a difference.

My sisters father-in-law has setup a account for donations at a local Chase Bank here in Denison. If anyone feels that they can help donate or support this cause
The account name is under David and Jennifer Wilbanks

The account will not be open until Tuesday Jan, 2nd. Every bit is appreciated though, no matter how small. If anyone would like to make a phone call for whatever reasons, feel free to Pm me and I will get you that info. All I ask is that you be sincere.Thank you for your time and to anyone who can donate, god bless you. Edit ** I have added my personal Paypal link, which can receive donations immediately.
