New v1.4 Exploit observed !?!?!

Guys. I was playing on a Karkand/Jalalabad server by the Full Metal Jacket clan (FMJworld.com) tonight. I observed players on TOP of the Hotel! Here's the report I made with ROE:
"Sorry, I didn't think to take a screenshot. On three occasions, Map: Karkand, players were places on map they shouldn't be.
1) On top of building at forward right USMC Noncap spawn point.
2) On top of Hotel building.
3) On top of building running 'east/west' overlooking a 'park' area at base of mountains in front of left USMC noncap spawn point.
4) (harder to describe) On top of 2nd building on the narrow strip of buildings that runs parallel to eastern most alley just in front of right USMC noncap spawn point.

I sent many IMs to players and ADMINS asking how these players could ever get up there, but there was no reply. One of the players was a clan member 'FMJ Magnum'. He was up on top of a building shooting down at other players. I have v1.4 of BF2. I hate cheaters and jumped off of server when I saw this exploit get out of control. Somehow other players were also exploiting. I spawned in with my squad leader on top of one of these buildings too. I tried to get back on, but the server had advanced to Jalalabad. I'll get screenshots next time I see it. Hope this helps."

Have any of you guys seen this too??

While i haven't seen this for myself, i have heard about this off some of the people i play with... and many Karkland only servers ive played on (before 1.4) in the rule that come up on screen, there is usually something saying "Use of the Hotel Glitch/bug will result in a Kick/Ban" so its obviously come in with the server crashes... 1.3... im not really suprised EA hasn't done anything about it though...

Was FF off in that server? If so, you can use C4 to propel yourself up there. I've seen it done and tried it myself. It's hard, but possible. Sorta like in BF1942 you could use nades to give yourself a push over steep hills.

I don't think it's specific to 1.4 either. It's been around.

ya. C4 jumps are completely legal (if lame) but theres no rules against it.

Wow, ok. I'll keep an eye out for FF. But I've been playing BF2 for about 6 months now and this is the first time I've seen this. I thought the Hotel glitch actually let you get INSIDE the hotel. Thanks for the replies.

I tried to replacate it with C4 and never could.... there is also the exploit where you can get INSIDE the hotel and shoot.... that might also be what they were referring to...

they fixed it. cant get in hotel anymore

it's a gitch, ive never seen it but yeah it's a glitch and like andyarm said, some servers even say the hotel glitch will result in a ban, etc.

guess they didnt fix this afterall.. oh and i was playing in one of my favorite servers on 1.4.. and server crashed, lol.

I'll reiterate, these players were NOT inside the Hotel. They were on TOP of it. I don't know how they got up there. If someone tried to get up there with C4 and wasn't successful, then there has to be some new cheat going around.
