Played for two hours, not seen it once. Also, the autobalance is working fine, another piece of evidence for the nametag bug being fixed.

Downloading now at a painful 80k, I tried all the mirrors & that's the best I can get.

<edit> I had to jinx it, didn't I? I'm now maxing out at 10k! Anyone have a link to a torrent or a decent mirror?

I used fileshack, just register there. The limit for registered users is 250 kbyte/s, that's what you should get.

its about fuckin time they released this...expected to be last patch of BF2...sigh.

I found if you download the patch through EA's downloader, the one you downlaod like the booster packs through, it goes much faster.

Actually...after about 15 months of playing BF2...I'm 80 global points away from my nick in BF2 showing 2 silver bars. No new unlocks...just new rank.

I'm about worn out now playing BF2. Still a kick ass game.

I'm about ready to tackle BF2142...just for a change of scenery.

All this forum activity all of a sudden about BF2? 1.4?

I'll continue to play BF2 for awhile...see you all in some Jallallabad neighborhood street fight.

After release of BF2142...I'm there.

15 months playing BF2 is a long time. I'll retire on my BF2 pension.

Yeh I still love BF2, I only have 23'000 points but I play it a lot less than I used to simply cozI have nothing to look forward to anymore. I dotn have all the ribbons/medals/nadges yet, but I'm not arsed about them, jut want the weapons.

I've only got 2 unlocks left to get but I doubt I'll play until 50'000 points.

We''ll see how BF2142 performs.

yep, I'm in the same spot as you. I could care less to make it to the next rank...thats why I've been playing PoE2 like crazy lately..thats freakin fun. And once Forgotten Hope 2 comes out...I doubt I'll have time to play 2142 if I buy it

It has been a nice change from vanilla BF2. Everytime I go antitank now I expect to have mines in BF2, or frag grenades for the kits in POE. It throws you off a little when you charge a group of guys, just to throw a smoke grenade at them and watch it puff as they gun you down...

The new map isn't too bad, but I still feel that the spawning should be reworked though. Almost everytime I died on that map was because I got shot in the back after spawning.

The squad create/join bug is still there and with a new twist. Now if the bug is in effect, not only can you not join or create a squad, but if you end up joining at the beginning of the next round, you can't leave your squad to join another and you can't spawn on your squad leader for the entire round. Everytime they fix one bug, they create another. This bug is not common, but it's still a problem.

oh man I know how you feel about the smoke-I did that last night at like a whole squad coming at me. I was like hell yeah these bitches are dead! POOF...oh shit. I also love how the guns are actually fucking LETHAL as if they are actual weapons. Unlike Vanilla BF2 where you light someone up with a whole clip and they survive...ergh.

Download it direct from EA at EA - Battlefield 2. I got around 1470 KB/Sec download from the computer lab at university. Downloaded the full patch within 7 minutes.

im having problems with the incremental patch... it keeps saying i need 1.3 installed even though it is, and ive even reinstalled 1.0 BF2 and then installed the 1.3 patch... ive gotten the 1.3-1.4 patch off EA, is it working for others who havnt got it from there... or shud i look at waiting for the whole 500Mb of the full 1.4 patch?
