New medal criteria

In order to make certain medal rewards more accessible to casual players the time played criteria for the following medals has been reduced:

Golden Scimitar Medal - Now requires 100 hours

Peoples Medallion - Now requires 100 hours

MEC Special Forces Service Medal - Now requires 50 hours

Navy Cross Medal - Now requires 100 hours

EU Special Service Medal - Now requires 50 hours

SAS Service Medal - Now requires 50 hours

Navy Seal Service Medal - Now requires 50 hours

Spetsnaz Service Medal - Now requires 50 hours

Rebel Service Medal - Now requires 50 hours

Other Changes in the update include:

- Addition of a North America Service Ribbon.

- Change in the promotion of Generals Each month. After the update the top 50 Lt. Generals will be promoted to General.

- Additional authentication support for ranked servers to ensure proper labeling of ranked servers in the server browser.

Any idea when these are taking effect? Probably with the 1.3 patch? Well they are a good change. The current criteria is way to high. It takes 4000 hours to get the SF medals.

My question is answered!

In the 1.3 patch news, it mentioned that medal criteria would be changed (someone posted the extended version on the second page of our thread), now I understand what they mean. Sad thing is, I already have two of the three. Getting that Chinese medallion just got 200 hours easier though

So, is time played now the only requisite for these medals or does the "500 wins as..." still apply?

Yep, looks like you still need 500 wins too, which will take me 250 hours easy anyway. Another awesome change that actually means feck all. GG's EA/Dice! :/
