I had that same exact joystick up until a couple days ago. It was dieing and the right side was broken so I had to compensate by doing 50% left rudder and 50% left bank. It worked well but I wanted something with more precision, so I bought my new one and I love it. BTW it was $120.

There are markings on the throttle to tell you what power you are at. Also it has indents for idle and Afterburners (0 and 100%, not used in BF2), and you can adjust the smoothness of it. Its a Saitek X52.
