When would you like to play BF2? - Page 2

Not to be indelicate...but I guess I'll go with the majority.
If 30 BFnation ppl US and 10 ppl here UK....well.

I'll still have you and other UK'ers ping potential selection before I commit.

My idea was to get a server with constant players 24/7. It may be too late.

After I get a $320 per month 32/32 BF2 server populated 24/7...then I'd ask for help in associating it with BFnation (logo).

Then I'd want it easier to find on front page of BFnation. Picky...ain't I?

Oh of course, I wasn't suggesting you should go UK/EU. The majority of BFN visitors are US (about 29% US, 10% EU, the rest is a mix of unresolved, Asia, etc), so it makes sense to locate it there.

For the best mix, an East coast server would be best - because then it's playable for everyone, but if that's more expensive or not available then West coast is absolutley fine too - still playable.

Let me know what you want in terms of promotion, and I'll do what I can - I'll try to get some custom logos made up for it, that kind of thing. We really appreciate what you're doing, so obviously we're 100% behind you to get it populated.

Hell, we might be able to work out a deal with the provider to lower the price in return for some kind of advertising on the site.

P.S. 1000th post, go me.

P.P.S $320/m?!? How'd you like to fund a new web/db server :P

It doesn't really matter, but the server's being relocated from Sheffield to London (Telehouse East in the Docklands if anyone's interested) on Monday 27th February. Means the pings will be a little better, since all the transatlantic connectivity is in London aswell - the same rack in fact.
