Default Claymore warning

Does anyone else think that there needs to be a specific clamore warning sign above the claymores? As it stands, everything that is explosive and stably deployable is labeled with the floating red X, which is a problem because the red X usually obscures an easy view of the ordinance. The closer inspection that is required usually results in instant death if it is a claymore. The warning sign at the side of the screen is not very helpful because it is so easily missed when you have to go by the ordinance quickly.

I have recently enjoyed a great deal of frustration with teammates running past claymores and getting themselves killed. I can't blame them though because the claymores so closely resemble C4 packs. It seems that an X with the "C" above it would be helpful for labeling claymores. I suppose that X's with a floating "M" or "Ex" would be useful for labeling mines and C4 packs respectively.

Not a bad idea. I've run over mines I thought were C4 before. Its frustrating for both me and the poor guy who got the TK (no, I didn't punish )

claymores in battlefield annoy the hell out of me sumtimes. Im not a noob who lays one then walks OVER his own, but quite often i'll lay one and walk away, and it'll detonate. I often walk 10 feet away from one and it'll blow me up. very frustrating.

Maybe your soldier just cant understand the complexities of a claymore and points the front towards himself! just kidding (maybe) of course.

I like the X with a floating letter, C for claymore, M for mine, and E for explosives I guess would be best.

Deffo, I think TK punish should be removed from mines etc. It is very annoying to punished for killnig someone when they stand on your claymore it is a mixture of yours and their fault for the TK. Fair enuf if i were to block a friendly road completely with AT mines then that is just stupid and deserves everyTK punish I get, but a noob standing on a strategically played claymore or AT mine and then punishing me is just annoying. 8 well earned points wasted.

More simply the color of the warning should be changed. Atleast for me its much easier to tell something different from a red warning to a blue warning rather than the design. Althouh as it stands i still havent really looked at the warning sign itself closely so i cant say what it really, just know that when it pops up dont go near it.

Slytiger I like your idea much better than mine. The red color of the text would make it very difficult to distinguish between the different letters at a distance. The different colors would, however, be very distinguishable at a distance. Let's hope the EA folks are viewing this.

This is the kind of brainstorming that EA needs to know about. Great enhancement of the idea slytiger.

Eh others would have thought of it. Just look at hazardous materials handling, different colors as well as designs for different materials.
